Have serious design skills with

Design Skills
- B.F.A. or related experience
- Superb information management, layout and design skills
- Expert-level capability in MAC OS, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Capable of producing pixel-perfect layouts and saving web-ready artwork
- Experienced in the design of websites, landing pages and mobile sites
- Capable of designing unique, non-template layouts to accurately reflect brand strategies
- Understanding of User Experience including: navigation, site structure, content flow and multiple screen sizes and resolutions
Development Skills
- Hand coding: advanced HTML/CSS plus basic PHP, Javascript and jQuery
- Experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress a must) and E-Commerce platforms
- Capable of producing valid, cross-browser and cross-screen/mobile websites
- Understanding of Responsive Design
- Solid grounding in SEO
- Capable of integrating @font-face and font kits

"I have spent the past 7 years working with Longbotham and, in a word, I would say that I'm spoiled. I've had the privilege of working with many smart, talented people who were more then willing to pass on their vast knowledge and experience to me. Not only did I learn technical skills and design aesthetics, but also, something our agency is known for in our area, attention to detail. And yes, I am now a card-carrying member of the obsessive-compulsive, detail-oriented group (do you ever feel like zooming to 6400% just isn't enough?? If you don't know that Illustrator and Photoshop can zoom to 6400%, this is not the job for you!).
Another thing I love about working at Longbotham is how collaborative we are. You're as likely to work on a project in a group as you are alone. Everyone touches everyone else's files, and no one is ever concerned about taking credit for the part they did. It is, after all, about how great we can make the client look! I also love that I do something different every day. Often I change projects mid-stream as new deadlines crop up. I enjoy being able to think on my feet and challenge myself. This job was an incredible learning experience for me as a new graduate who didn't know which end was up (or how to prep a file for press). It is still, 7 years later, an incredible learning experience for me. We embrace change and technology. We strive to learn new things every day. We push the constraints of design as far as we can to provide the best end product to our clients (if you think you can sit in a corner and silo all day, again, this is not the job for you).
I wake up every day, and go to work, and do something I love, with people I consider my friends. So am I spoiled? Yes! And I am so thankful I am."
